Terms of Service

Last updated 21 August 2026

Who these terms are between

These terms govern your use of Iteration ("Iteration", "we", "us"), available at iterationinterview.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We may update these terms. When we make a change that materially affects your rights we will give reasonable notice — by email to your account address, or by a notice in the product — before it takes effect. Continuing to use Iteration after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.

What Iteration is, and what it is not

Iteration provides interview reflection and coaching tools. It does not guarantee employment outcomes, predict hiring decisions, or replace professional legal, employment, medical, or career advice.

Feedback, scores, rewrites, model answers, and rankings are generated automatically, in part by AI language models. They can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation, and they are not a professional assessment of you or your prospects. Use your own judgement before acting on anything the product tells you. Do not rely on Iteration as your only preparation for a decision that matters to you.

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Iteration. The service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without your permission. One account is for one person; do not share it.

Acceptable use

Do not use Iteration to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or harass, abuse, defame, or impersonate anyone. Do not upload malware, scrape the service, probe or interfere with its security, attempt to access other users' data, resell access, or use automated means to create accounts or consume allowances.

Do not use the service to build a competing product, including by using its outputs to train a model.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where continuing to provide the service would expose us or other users to legal risk. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.

Your content

You keep ownership of the transcripts, notes, recordings, and answers you provide. You grant Iteration a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, process, and transmit that content solely to operate the service and produce your own coaching output — including sending it to the third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy, such as our AI processor. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, apart from copies retained in backups for a limited period, or where the law requires us to keep them.

You confirm you have the right to share what you upload. Interview transcripts and recordings often contain other people's words and personal information. Do not upload content you are not permitted to share, and be aware that recording a conversation without the other participants' knowledge is unlawful in many places. Complying with the recording and privacy law that applies to you is your responsibility, not ours.

Do not upload sensitive information you do not need to — health information, government identifiers, financial details, or anyone else's personal information beyond what your own preparation genuinely requires.

Peer practice and Arena

Peer practice is invite-only and still in beta, which means it may change, break, or be withdrawn. Invite only people you know, and treat the session respectfully.

Peer practice and head-to-head sessions involve other people. Everyone in a session must know it is happening and agree to it before it starts. Do not record, screenshot, republish, or share another participant's answers, audio, or video outside the session without their explicit permission.

Leaderboards and the public forum display the name on your profile. Do not put anything in your display name, forum posts, or shared answers that you would not want published.

Plans, billing, and renewals

Free accounts receive 1 completed Interview Review and 3 question rewrites each calendar month, plus a limited allowance of ranked Arena battles and peer practice sessions.

Sprint Pass is a weekly renewing subscription at A$6.99 per week. It unlocks unlimited Interview Reviews and question rewrites while active, plus 20 ranked Arena battles each weekly period, and renews until you cancel.

Pro and Ultra are billed monthly or annually at the price shown at checkout. Both include unlimited Interview Reviews and question rewrites while active. Pro includes 50 ranked Arena battles a month; Ultra includes 100. Allowances reset each calendar month and do not roll over.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Any applicable taxes are shown by Stripe at checkout. If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend paid features until it succeeds.

We may change prices or what a plan includes. For an existing subscription, a price increase or a material reduction in what you get takes effect from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does, so you can cancel first.

You can manage or cancel any subscription, including Sprint Pass, through the Stripe Billing Portal in your account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancellations and refunds are covered in our Refunds policy.

Our intellectual property

Iteration, its software, question bank, guides, rubrics, branding, and the design of the service belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you permission to use the service; they do not transfer any ownership in it. Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the service except as the law expressly permits.

Availability

We aim to keep Iteration available and working, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may run maintenance that makes the service briefly unavailable. If we discontinue a paid feature you have already paid for, you may be entitled to a refund for the unused part — see the Refunds policy.

You can close your account at any time from your account settings. If you do, we will delete or de-identify your content in line with our Privacy Policy.

Consumer guarantees

If you are a consumer in Australia, our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies those guarantees or any other right you have that cannot be excluded by law. If you are a consumer elsewhere, nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer law where you live.

Everything in the two sections below applies only to the extent the law allows.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the consumer guarantees above, Iteration is provided "as is" and "as available", and we exclude all implied warranties — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that its output will be accurate or suitable, or that it will improve your interview performance or help you get a job.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the consumer guarantees above, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost employment, lost revenue, or lost or corrupted data, however caused.

Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability to you for all claims connected with the service is limited, at our option, to resupplying the service or to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and A$100.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or under the non-excludable consumer guarantees.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from content you upload that you did not have the right to share, from your breach of these terms, or from your unlawful use of the service. This does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own breach or negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, or of the right to bring proceedings there.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it.
